  4. The workshop will be held in Bucharest, at the Hotel Capitol *** (Calea Victoriei, nr. 29). The agenda of the workshop can be accessed in the section Programme

  5. Abstracts and Proceedings:
  6. All the participants presenting papers at the workshop are kindly asked to send an Abstract of their presentation, after downloading and completing the available Template, before the 7th of April, 2008, in order to be included in the Abstract Book. The Abstracts should be sent by e-mail to Dr. A. Luca, at the address aluca@ifin.nipne.ro
    The full papers (as Microsoft PowerPoint presentations) will be sent by e-mail, to the DDEP Coordinator & Scientific Editor, Dr. Edgardo Browne, at the address EBrowne@lbl.gov , before the 18th of April, 2008. The Proceedings of the workshop will be available on CD-ROM only, freely distributed to all the participants.

  14. The official workshop language is English.

  15. Romanian Visa Formalities
  16. The citizens from the European Union and some other countries (such as Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China (only diplomatic and professional passport), Japan, Mexico, South Korea, USA) do not need a visa to travel to Romania.   17. Financial Support
  18. IAEA granted a financial support in order to cover the travel expenses for a few participants, who needed funding in order to attend the workshop. The cost of their international transport tickets will be reimbursed during the workshop (these participants must provide to the organizers a photocopy of the official international travel documents).

  19. Local transport and other details
  20. The organizers from IFIN-HH will provide free transport from the airport to the hotel(s), by bus, on Sunday 11th of May, 2008, according to an optimized schedule, based on the arrival hours of the flights, communicated in due time by the participants, to the contact person: Dr. A.     After the workshop, our partner - the Domino Travel Tourism Agency organizes, at request, several excursions in picturesque regions of Romania, at special rates (minimum 10 participants are needed for such a trip); more details are available through the Accommodation section.

    Some practical works, using different software for Windows/MS-DOS (SAISINUC, BrIcc, etc.), are planned for the second day of the workshop; if the participants think it's necessary and have the possibility, they can come to Bucharest with a portable computer (notebook, laptop), in order to use it during the workshop.
