Located at the site where the highway passes from the southern slope of the Carpathians to the northern one, the PREDEAL resort, an important tourist center, is the town with the highest altitude in Romania: 1060 m. Very sunny, the locality provides a wide panorama of the beautiful surrounding mountains.



A large variety of touring and sport facilities are available. Predeal is 25 km far from the old Transylvanian town of Brasov, where arrangements can be made for theater, concert and organ recitals at the 500 years old organ of the Black Church.
