at DFN / TANDEM Seminar Room
This presentation is intended as a review of the current opportunities for international collaborations with scientists from the USA on topics in Biophysics and Space Radiobiology. In the introduction, an informative briefing on programs from the National Science Foundation (NSF) and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) that pose a strong international component will be provided. Next, in an open discussion format, suggestions for initiating and further strengthening collaborative efforts through particular research programs, institutional, and inter-agency collaborations will be presented. The major review criteria currently considered by agencies for funding will also be discussed. In addition, opportunities for continuing education of undergraduate students in the USA through local graduate programs, including eligibility and prerequisites to be met, will be detailed to the audience.
