CERN is an European Organization for Nuclear Research established in 1954 as one of the first joint European initiatives. CERN is the largest and prestigious research center in the world in the field of elementary particle physics, with CERN conducting the most complex scientific experiments to study the main constituents of matter.
Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research in Europe - will be a research accelerator for the study of antiproton and ions that will be built near Darmstadt, Germany. The new research center will provide outstanding opportunities for approximately 3,000 researchers from approximately 50 countries.
Collaboration stopped in February 2022. The Joint Institute for Nuclear Research is an international intergovernmental organization established through the Convention signed on 26 March 1956. JINR is a scientific centre that integrates fundamental, theoretical and experimental research with development and application of cutting edge technology and university education.
